The Healthy Ninja Training Program directly targets physical and mental health through activity. Students participate in an Open Gym session along with a learning component. The unstructured Open Gym session engages students; providing an opportunity for students to engage in healthy, safe play and builds skills that translate into success at school. As an outlet for excess energy, the Open Gym format allows students to ‘play’ in a fun and active environment and teach students skills for a healthy lifestyle. Our trainers will not only monitor the safety of students but engage, encourage and challenge them.
During the learning component of Healthy Ninja Training Program, students have a break from physical activity and engage in various health related learning topics. This could range from a group discussion to a personal reflection. Students are responsible for having a journal workbook in which they track their progress and take notes. Character traits such as persistence, goal setting, confidence and self-awareness can all be developed during the Healthy Ninja Training Program.
